A Sneak Peak of The Hampton Classic

Our friends at Brennan’s Bit & Bridle are showcasing two of our styles in shearling leading up the The Hampton Classic.

Located on the SE corner of The Bridgehampton Commons on Montauk Highway & Snake Hollow Rd., they are a hop skip and jump from the show grounds, and where riders of all ages are popping in to get their gear all summer long.

Stop in to see our quality of materials and construction to start your thoughts of a special jacket for winter, and then stop by our booth in the Boutique Garden at The Classic

to see more styles.

Brennan’s will also be doing appointments during The Classic if you want a private try on of your dream jacket.

Styling Shearling

You know if Michelle Obama was wearing anything, she would grab a belt to create a look.

So we tried it on our mannequin, I think she looks sharp!

Yes, our shearlings are light and supple enough to belt without bulk.

Come see them this weekend, in New Jersey,

at Craft Morristown!

Signature Shearling Style

We had a client call us this summer, who had been wearing a jacket she had gotten from us about seven years ago; she loved the fit and style and wanted the same thing again, but to change it up a bit. This seems to happen more than you might think, someone has a go-to jacket that serves them well, and they don’t want to let go, but need a fresh piece.  In this case she kept the black body, but changed the leather trim from bronze to multi primary colors amid black lambskin tape. She kept the detachable hood, but this time we trimmed it in a curly black lamb, her last was a frosted Toscana.

What’s your favorite winter jacket, that you feel good in and functions well?  Does it have a hood?

The Best Leather & Shearling @ The Hampton Classic

It is always so inspiring to meet others in your field who are at the top of their game, whose hearts beat faster when they feel they have finished stitching a perfect piece.

Here at The Hampton Classic where we are showing our shearlings, we have met two leather craftsmen who are making exquisite work.

One is Charles Pinnell, from Crozet, Va., who told us he got hooked on working in leather when he was 16. I will post a few photographs, because there are no words to describe how great the work is.
